According to statements from Debnath's family, he had been facing marital discord following his marriage about a year ago in the New Town area. Allegations indicate that Debnath's wife had been pressuring him to distance himself from his parents, leading to strained relations within the household. The situation escalated when Debnath's wife returned to her maternal home, reportedly subjecting him to emotional distress through frequent calls and verbal abuse directed at both him and his parents.
